Post merger Integration Project

Having opted not to join the merged company formed from Scott Paper Co and Kimberley-Clark, I was asked to take on the role of Integration Consultant for the Away From Home (Professional) division with combined t/o £100m+ .

My consultancy lasted 6 months and incorporated:

  • Managing the heritage Scott Head Office until integration (The Scott Country Manager had left within 2 weeks of merger confirmation).
  • Assist with personnel assessments and combined roles.
  • Chair local meetings to review systems and procedures.
  • Represent the division on senior level integration task force.
  • Manage data transfers and sales database combination.
  • Ensure all mainframe and local IT systems were compatible and plans fully documented for hand over.
  • Contingency planning.
  • Advising on customer integration sensitivity issues.
  • Close the Scott offices and relocate personnel to KC.
  • Report regularly to Division Country Manager on progress.
  • Highlight and resolve all potential integration issues.

My task was completed successfully and on time and I left the assignment on completion.
